RedMagic have showcased their latest releases at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. The company have released details about its flagship RedMagic 10 Pro Series as well as the golden editions of its tablets and laptops. They have also shown their commitment to new gaming peripherals as well. The 10 Pro Series is the company’s new flagship smartphone, and it can deliver a superior performance with ultra-fast response times. With that said, what stole the show would be the new 3D gaming laptop, which comes with several impressive features.

RedMagic’s 3D Laptop Raises the Bar for Gaming Systems

RedMagic has finally showcased its new gaming laptop. The device, known as the RedMagic Gaming Laptop 3D features two different cameras. These cameras, which are built into the device, track the eyes of the person playing. They operate at 90Hz and have advanced capabilities. The cameras can generate one 4K image for each eye, with the brain fusing them to create a 3D image. Although technology like this has been around for quite some time, this device stands out as being quite different.

The main reason for this is that no glasses are required. You also don’t need to stay still to maintain the 3D effect either, as the device can operate with 90 micro adjustments per second. In other words, it adjusts to your positioning, with no input required. This is a game-changer for some games, as it can convert any title into 3D experiences in real-time.

An Immersive Experience that will Transform Classic Games

3D tech and advances like this really help with immersion, especially with real-time strategy games where people command armies or fight wars across sprawling battlefields. Turn-based games like this tend to be quite basic in graphics, due to the amount of data that needs to be processed at any given time. An example of this would be XCOM: Enemy Unknown, where specialists need to defend Earth against otherworldly threats. Making games like this 3D, without adding intensive PC requirements would revolutionise the gaming sector as we know it.

Devices like this are also set to have a huge impact on the iGaming market. Slots like Temple of Medusa and Book of Atem Wildpot when played on this laptop, would appear in 3D, replicating a traditional slot machine with physical spinning reels. Wilds and bonus round animations would also jump off the screen, allowing people to enjoy popular titles without compromising the tried-and-tested format that gamers love. With classic games like Coin Pushers also set to benefit, the announcement from RedMagic is exciting, to say the least.

Even though RedMagic has yet to announce a release date for their new laptop, it’s said that the device is going to arrive in the US later this year. The price point is rumoured to be on par with other devices of similar specifications, however, as the 3D technology is quite new, this could result in the laptop being listed at a higher price point. As there is minimal competition for devices with technology like this, it could also be quite some time before we see the price drop as well.
